Terms of use

You must be an adult, at least 18 years old, to create an account or buy a subscription. The account owner is responsible for the account, for every golfer and guest added to it, and for supervising any minor who uses the app on the owner's device. A golfer profile is not an account, has no login, and gives its subject no rights or obligations under these terms; those stay with the account owner.

Putt Pitch Drive scores practice tests for golf skills competitions, keeps each golfer's results, and suggests drills. Scores are entered by you as shots land; the app does not measure anything itself.

Putt Pitch Drive is an independent app, not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any competition or its organizers, including any junior golf skills competition whose format the app helps you practice. Nothing in the app is an official result. A score in Putt Pitch Drive does not mean a golfer will qualify for, advance in, or be selected for any event, and we make no such promise.

Distances are approximate and may vary by device, movement, lighting, and ground conditions. Verify with a tape when exact placement is required. Practice conditions at a range, green or simulator differ from event conditions. Indoor and outdoor results are kept separately because a simulator score and a range score are not the same test.

Simulator and launch monitor names appear in the app to describe what you are reading numbers from. The app does not connect to those systems, and no manufacturer has certified, endorsed or partnered with us.

You sign in with a code sent to your email address, so keep that email account secure: anyone who controls it can reach your Putt Pitch Drive account. Tell us at support@puttpitchdrive.com if you think someone else has used your account. One account serves a household; you may add golfers and guests to it, and you are responsible for having the right to enter their names and results.

• With an account, Practice and single-event games are free.
• Each golfer's first eligible scored round is free.
• Unlimited scored rounds require the Season Pass: $79.99 a year or $14.99 a month, in United States dollars, subject to local taxes and to change with notice.

Subscriptions are bought through Apple's App Store or Google Play and billed to that store account. They renew automatically at the end of each period until you cancel in the store's subscription settings; cancelling stops the next renewal but does not refund the current period. Refunds are handled by the store under its policies. The Season Pass is eligible for Apple Family Sharing, and for Google Play Family Library on Android. Apple's standard licensed application end user license agreement also applies to the iOS app, and if it conflicts with these terms for the app on Apple devices, Apple's terms control for that conflict.

If a payment fails or a subscription lapses, the account keeps its history and its free features; scored rounds beyond the free ones wait until the subscription is active again.

The names, shots, scores, formats and events you enter are yours. You give us permission to store, process, back up and display them in order to run the service for you, and to use them in anonymous, aggregated form to improve the service. Score cards you export are yours to share; the app leaves names and locations off them for a reason, and we ask that you keep it that way when sharing a minor's results.

Do not enter information about a person you do not have the right to enter, and do not use the service to store anything unlawful.

• Do not attempt to access other accounts or data, probe or overload the service, or bypass its limits.
• Do not copy, resell or scrape the service or its content, including the drill library and scoring formats, beyond your own use.
• Do not reverse engineer the app except where the law expressly allows it.
• Do not use automated tools to create accounts or submit forms, including the launch list.
• Do not impersonate anyone or misrepresent your relationship to a golfer.

Golf practice involves clubs, balls and other people. You are responsible for practicing safely: keep the phone, yourself and everyone else out of the path of any swing, ball or rebound; follow the rules of the range, green or facility you are using; supervise minors; and stop if conditions are unsafe. The app never directs anyone onto an active range. Drills are general practice suggestions, not coaching, medical or injury advice, and they should be adapted to the golfer's age, ability and fatigue.

We may add, change or remove features, and we may suspend the service for maintenance or for reasons outside our control. The app saves on the device and syncs when it can, but we cannot promise that every sync succeeds or that the service is always available. If we discontinue the service, we will give account owners reasonable notice and the chance to export their data.

The service is provided as is and as available. To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and accuracy of scores, distances, drill recommendations and comparisons. We do not warrant that practice with the app will improve any golfer's results or lead to any competition outcome.

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost data, lost profits or injury arising from practice, and our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or one hundred United States dollars if you paid nothing. Some places do not allow some of these limits, so some may not apply to you.

You can delete your account at any time from the app's settings, which removes your data as described in the privacy policy. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, harms other users or the service, or is required to be closed by law, and we will tell you why unless the law prevents it. Sections 2, 5, 9, 10, 12 and 13 survive the end of the agreement.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of state, United States, without regard to its conflict of law rules. If we have a dispute, write to support@puttpitchdrive.com first and we will try to resolve it informally within thirty days. Any dispute that is not resolved will be heard in the state or federal courts located in county and state, and you and we consent to their jurisdiction, except that either of us may bring a claim in small claims court, and nothing here takes away rights the law where you live gives you and does not let you waive.

We may update these terms. We will post the new version here with a new date, and if a change materially reduces your rights we will tell account owners in the app or by email at least thirty days before it takes effect. Using the service after that date means you accept the new terms.
